Crucifixion & Resurrection of Jesus

Pentecost

In Christianity, Pentecost is celebrated on the Sunday falling 50 days after the resurrection of Christ. It marks the day when God sent his Holy Spirit to the disciples, and is considered to be the birthday of the Church. That day coincided with the Jewish festival Pentecost, which occurs 50 days after the Passover. It should be noted that the Christian and Jewish Pentecost festivals don't normally happen on the same day (as Passover and Easter don't normally overlap).
